The components of a food web are linked by arrows to show the relationship between them. The components from the lowest level upwards are:
- Primary producers: Algae; Plants, leaves, seeds, and fruits
- Decomposer: Detritus, bacteria, and associated fungi
- Herbivore: Flagfish; Grass shrimp and worms; Moorhen; White-tailed deer
- Omnivore: Everglades crayfish; Raccoon
- Carnivore: Largemouth bass, Killifish, Pig frog, Bobcat, Anhinga, Alligator
- Scavenger: Vulture
