A root's anatomy says that it contains:

1. Dermal Tissues - It has epidermis and root hairs.
2. Ground tissues - It is located just inside the epidermis which contains cortex and endodermis.
3. Vascular tissues - It is in the centre of root containing xylem and phloem and together known as vascular cylinder.
4. Apical meristem - It is at the root tip which is covered by root cap.
