- These two cells undergo meiosis II to produce two cells each.
- These four cells develop into sperms.
- The formation of female gamete:
- The cell containing 46 chromosomes (two N) undergoes meiosis I to produce one small cell and one big cell.
- These two cells undergo meiosis II to produce one big cell and three small cells. The small cells are labeled polar bodies.
