Figure 30 shows the three type of plate boundaries and their properties.
  1. Divergent Boundary: Diagram shows the plates moving away from each other at the mid-ocean ridge.
  2. Convergent Boundary: The plates in the diagram are coming together . In this diagram the ocean is drawn under a trench. Once the oceanic crust collides with the continental crust, the denser crust (oceanic) would slide under the less dense crust (continental)
  3. Transform Boundary: The plates are sliding past each other , in opposite directions.
