                A NOTE ABOUT CALCULATORS:
​
You will need a calculator for this class, and an online graphing calculator is provided in your lessons! I recommend bookmarking this link:   DESMOS

​If you choose to also buy a calculator, any calculator labeled "scientific" will be sufficient for calculations in this class, but you will still need Desmos for graphing. If you go on to calculus or statistics, you will then want to get a handheld graphing calculator.

The ACT EXAM MATH PRACTICE PROJECTS:
​
You will be taking ACT Math Practice Tests that I assign in your USA Test Prep Account. ​
  • See a recording HERE  
  • You will need to make an account at USA Test Prep if you didn't make one last year.
  • Then select "Join a Class". Look for my name and the class "Patterson ACT 21-22".
  • As each test release date comes, you will see the test link in your Assignments list.
  • BEFORE taking the first test, check out this list of topics to review. 
  • You don't need to send me anything, I will get a report of your scores.
  • Getting 60% correct on a practice test will get you all 10 points in your grade book.
  • If you want to try for a higher score, there will be a retake test available.
  • After each test, go back and review the answer explanations.
  • ALSO: Send a Test Correction Report for each test to get Participation points. Select 10 questions you missed, then write up what you error was, and, in your own words, how to get the correct answer. Send these in by Webmail by the end of each month.

PLEASE NOTE:
​You will not be taking the semester exam.
The ACT Math Practice Tests in your USA Test Prep account replace the exam.
First semester ends Friday, December 17.
All Lessons, Assessments, Projects, and Reworks must be completed & submitted by 8:59 pm!!

You may rework any question from any Test or Quiz, but start with Tests as they will make a much bigger difference in your grade. You may also rework the Roller Coaster Project.

*For reworks, write out the steps from start to finish for how to get the answer.
If a rework needs a graph, you can include a screen shot of what you graphed with Desmos.
Then send a picture of your reworks by Webmail. You don't need to type reworks.
