Descriptive Statistics and Histograms

For numerical data, you can find the mean, the median, and the mode.

Example 1

Find the mean, median, and mode for the following data set.

The frequency of a data value is the number of times it occurs in a data set. A histogram is a bar graph that shows the frequency of each data value.

Example 2

Use the survey results to make a histogram for the cost of a movie ticket at various theaters.
